Your Details

When you register on our website, you must choose a contact email address and password. You are responsible for all sessions and transactions under these details. Keep your password secure and change it immediately if you believe it has been compromised.

If any of your personal details change, such as your billing address, you should inform us as soon as possible. You may update your information by signing in to your account on our website and editing the relevant section.

The Contract Between Us
Any contract for purchases made through our website is formed once payment is received for the goods you order. Payment is usually taken when items are dispatched. After your order is accepted, you will receive a shipment email confirming the order number, items, and total price. This acceptance creates a legally binding contract based on these terms and conditions.

We may withdraw from the contract if there are obvious inaccuracies or errors in the goods listed on our website. If we discover an error in the advertised price of the goods you have ordered, we will email you as soon as possible with the correct price. You may decide whether to continue with the order at the amended price or cancel it entirely.

Withdrawal by you from the contract
If you are buying goods as an individual and not on behalf of a business, you may have the right to withdraw from the contract within 21 working days of receiving the goods. This right does not apply to business buyers. You do not need to provide a reason for withdrawing, nor will you incur a penalty, unless you have opened sealed goods.

To withdraw, notify us in writing at our returns address. If you have already received the goods, return them to our specified address at your own cost and risk unless they were supplied faulty or damaged. If we have already processed your order, you must not open any sealed goods you no longer want. Any sums debited will be re-credited to you within 30 days once we receive your returned items in acceptable condition.

Availability of Goods You Order
We may occasionally limit the number of copies of a particular product you can order, especially if supplies are limited or if items are specially signed or subject to certain constraints. If we have insufficient stock to deliver some or all of the goods, or if you have tried to purchase quantities exceeding our limits, we will inform you which parts of the order we can fulfill. Any sums we have taken for goods we cannot supply will be refunded to you within 30 days. We do not offer compensation for any disappointment caused. Prices shown in the shopping basket are those applicable at the time. We only charge your debit or credit card as individual items in your order are dispatched.

Delivery of Goods to You
We will post or arrange a courier for the goods to the name and address you provide when placing your order. If the order is shipped outside the UK, the recipient is the declarant and importer, and is responsible for customs clearance and any associated duties or local taxes. Delivery estimates on our website are only estimates. Ownership of the goods transfers to you once they have been dispatched from our distribution center.

eGifts
Orders for eGifts cannot be exchanged or refunded except as allowed by law. Risk in the eGift passes to you upon electronic delivery. You may cancel your eGift order up to 14 days after the date it was placed, unless electronic delivery has already occurred, in which case you waive the right to cancel.

Customs Charges
We will have no liability to you if goods delivered are not what you ordered, are damaged or defective, or are of incorrect quantity unless you notify us via our customer support contact form within 10 working days of delivery. If items fail to arrive within 30 days of dispatch, notify us within 40 days of dispatch.

If you notify us of a problem under these conditions, our sole obligation may be to provide replacement goods, remedy any shortage, or refund the amount you paid for the goods. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost data or profit, nor are we liable beyond refunding the purchase price for the affected goods. Nothing in these terms excludes your statutory rights or limits liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence. Nothing in this condition is, however, intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit Novum Books liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.

Nothing in this contract creates any right which is enforceable by any person who is not a party to the contract.

Force Majeure
We are not liable for any failure to deliver your goods or for delays caused by events or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Invalidity
If any part of these conditions is deemed unenforceable, the rest of the conditions remain in effect.

Complaints
We operate a complaints handling procedure aimed at resolving issues quickly. Please contact our customer service manager at the address provided on our website if you have a complaint.

Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions, along with our current prices, delivery details, and contact information, form the whole agreement for the supply of goods to you by us. They cannot be varied except in writing, signed by a director of the company. No verbal statement by any sales person modifies or becomes part of these terms and conditions.

Interpretation
In these terms and conditions, “we” or “the company” refers to the online bookstore that actually supplies goods ordered by you and any successor to its business. “Working day” means any calendar day apart from weekends, statutory, and public holidays. “You” and “your” refer to the person ordering goods. “Us” means both parties together.
